1961 works Monark/Lito Sten Lundin
1961 World
Champion
After a three year
restoration on Sten Lundin's 1961 500cc World Championship Lito,
history was made once again. Forty years after Sten Lundin
won the 500cc World Championship, Sten suited up and rode his
famous Lito at the historical Saxtorp motocross track in
southern Sweden. The event was filmed for a Swedish television
show. Those that were there, once again got to witness one of
the great riders of all time and hear the sound of the powerful
Lito that once shook the earth. Photos were provided by Bo-Ingvar
Svensson and Nils-Olov Wedin. The Lito is now part of this
collection.
