                            1973 Suzuki RN73    Roger DeCoster

                                                        1973 500 World Champion

Here are a few preview photos of Roger DeCoster's incredible 1973 World Championship Suzuki. The bike is in 100% original condition (un-restored) as it left the track after its last race in 1973.  It is remarkable that the bike is preserved as well as it is. This is truly one of the most historical bikes, ridden by one of the greatest motocross riders of all time. There will be a full review of this bike later this year, including a full review of the 1973 500 GP season that went right down to the last moto of the last race. This was one of the most dramatic finishes in motocross history. 1973 was the year that long travel made it's debut.

The bottom photo features the "sand tank" that was used at the final GP at Saint Anthonis in Holland.  Check out the photo vault for photos of this bike in action.
