                                         1969 380 CZ Monoshock

This is the first motocross monoshock bike ever built. It is the original bike built by inventor and father of the monoshock Lucian Tilkens. This bike was originally Sylvain Geboers works 380 CZ. It is the bike that was tested by Roger DeCoster and Sylvain Geboers and recommended to Suzuki. They actually turned faster lap times with this bike than their works Suzuki's on a rough track. The shock is under the tank and is actually a Citroen car shock. The two dampers attached to the swingarm were there to give it more damping. These are the only three known photos of this bike from the day. The bike is now part of this collection. There will be a full feature on this bike in the future.
